Hove Hove Hove. I wish i knew you better, you sound lovely and i look forward to meeting you. When i first heard your name i thought somebody said 'Hoover', and a festival named after a brand of vacuum cleaner sounds really great. The i saw 'Hove' written and i thought it must have been a festival in Hove, England. I wondered why these crazy norwegians were getting so excited about an english festival.. That was then, but then it's true. I now know that you're a four day spectacular somewhere south of Oslo. Great.
Many many beats to look forward to, i would like to see:
Ratatat
M83
Metronomy
Esser
Danger
Crookers
Rye Rye
Lykke Li
Yuksek
The Prodigy
Eagles of Death Metal
Fujiya & Miyagi,
So, this will be my first norwegian festival (aside from by:larm) and i'm very much looking forward to it. Most festivals in Australia are truly terrible with the same old recycled Aussie bands, several irrelvant international bands, one or two comeback shows, and maybe three or four, good fresh interesting stuff. The country is too far away to intice exciting new stuff from around the world, it costs too much to even get there. Another horrid thing about Aus music festivals is that they're always far too hot. 37 degrees is not fun when you're face is squashed against a hairy man's naked back, surrounded by pumped up teenage wankers with fluro everything. And that brings me to another point, if you're fat and hairy, or young and fit, you will get too drunk and take your shirt off. It's a given. There's also a good chance you'll start a fight.

So don't disappoint me Norway, please keep the shirts on,
thankyou.
